Forestry technology meets diversity – good wood harvesting is not standard but must adapt to local conditions.

Here, you can find out how to do this:

  • An e-learning course was developed by 8 European institutes with the support of Erasmus+. It is aimed at master's level forestry students and managers.
  • Everyone can take an exam. An exam with 5 ECTS is offered for students at (Link); administrative fees apply. National courses are being prepared for practitioners. To find out more, please send an email to mail@joern-erler.de

Additionally, you will find on this page:

  • A glossary of important terms
  • Links to informative short videos about timber harvesters
  • Further information on forestry technology from European institutes.
